Geez, has it really been that long? Gosh, I'm slacking.

But I do well at it. And good.

Been around the world and back, so it seems. Hardly enough time for hockey, and that's sad. Which makes less time for Woody's, which is really sad.

The new single is doing good, "Up & Gone", number 5 on the charts. I'm sure all of you know it everytime you hit the home page. Do a little rock out for a second before going to the tour page and then the diary to realize there's nothing there. Fooled ya this time.

I would like to wonder something aloud: okay the top spots right now are Jack and Pat. Both Texas boys with major label deals now. Shhsh with the sellout talk, I'm making a point. How come George Strait isn't on the Texas Music Chart? He's from Texas and has a major label deal and I dare anyone to argue that he's less country or less Texas than Pat or Jack. In my not humble opinion, he's about the only country left in mainstream country music.

Back to business, we're kicking off the outdoor shows this week in San Antonio (free show, free show) and Corpus. The humidity destoys my hair but it's worth it for the fun in the shaded sun. Hit Huntsville and treak to Abilene, two places we haven't seen in a while. Great shows coming up, Billy Bob's and Wormy Dog, home sweet homes. Get to run around in April a little, hit some new places, the rest of the summer is falling together.

Okay, I'm gonna go eat and do some laundry, the bus will be here in less than 16 hours and I've got a game and a couple beers to take care of...oh, and some other stuff for the band...nuge.
