    Nashville, TN – March 26, 2012 – Award winning singer/songwriter Wade Bowen will host his 14th Annual Bowen Classic celebrity golf tournament and concert to benefit the Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children on May 6 and 7 in Bowen’s hometown of Waco, TX. Over the past three years, Bowen has raised over $310,000 for various charities.

    “’The Classic’ is something I look forward to putting together all year,” said Bowen. “I’m so proud that my fans and artist friends keep coming out to help raise so much money.  Working with ACCVC this year hits close to home…literally…since they’re right down the street helping out families in Waco.”

    Gates open for the event kick-off all-star concert at noon on May 6 at Indian Springs Park (100 University Parks Drive between Franklin and Washington Ave.) featuring Bowen and friends including Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Josh Abbott, Casey James, Cody Canada and The Departed, Charlie Robinson, Turnpike Troubadours, Micky and The Motorcars, Charlie Worsham, Brison Bursey, Kimberly Kelly, William Clark Green, Kylie Rae Harris and Zane Williams.  Fans can also vote for their favorite up and coming artist to win a chance to open the show beginning March 27<> . The event resumes the next morning at 11:00A with a two-man golf scramble at the beautiful Cottonwood Creek Golf Course (5201 Bagby, Waco, TX).

    Tickets to both portions of the event go on sale this Fri., March 30 at 10:00A CT. Registration for the golf tournament is $150 and includes two concert tickets, or fans interested in the concert only can purchase tickets for $20 in advance or $25 day of show.
